Her poor siblings, they are going to miss her being away from home. We, on the other hand, are quite excited...although I'm not sure why. I know why for her but...I mean, i have been moved out for a while now and this will be my hardest semester thus far. . .yet, somehow, it still feels like a new start ish. Kind of like...I don't know, i guess it has to do with her being away from home, this being the first semester we get to start out in as a couple, and stuff like that. I am just thinking that, while this semester will be hard, I think it will be fun too.

A Good Day
Today I helped Anna Marie and her family move her into her dorm. It was dreadfully hot, as it often is during the summer. All in all, though, it was a good day. I got to the university at about 8:30 and met up with Anna Marie at about 9:30. We found her dorm and got her moved in, put together some furniture pieces, met her roommate, went all went to the dining hall for lunch and then made sure she was settled in before her family and I left.

Out of luck
Today we got internet back at the house after not having any at all for about the past week or so. It's nice to be back online! ^_^
School starts in a week and residents move into the dorms tomorrow. I get to go help Anna Marie move in which i am looking forward to. I'm not totally sure why but I am looking forward to this semester. Which is odd because I will have a heavier work load than previous semesters. Oh well, i think it will be good over all!

home again...
I arrived home from being with my girlfriend all week only to find myself worse off than when i left. Don't get me wrong, I loved being with her and i love her and her family alot. . .that part was fun. But when i got home, I realized: I don't have a car that runs, i still have stuff i need to get done before school starts in two weeks ish, and i need to clean. Then, after the shock of that had wore off, mom and dad wanted me to go eat with them...which i didn't mind eating with them BUT, i was already over peopled and just wanted to not go anywhere for a while. After that, I learned that mom is going to have a hysterectomy, and there is something up with her heart but they aren't sure what yet.
so yeahhhh, anyway, it's 11AM and i haven't even once set foot out of bed yet. pathetic.

the past week...ish
The past week has been semi eventful. My girlfriend and I were supposed to go with my family to the beach. The plan was to travel to North Carolina to visit her grandparents for two days and then meet my family just south of Myrtle Beach.
It was about 10 AM when we crossed into NC. Not fifteen minutes after we crossed the border the truck broke down. The engine would only stay running if the gas was to the floor, but it wouldn't rev above 1K RPMs. So there we were, me, my girlfriend, and a broken down truck, side of the interstate, 100 degree weather.
After a half hour or so of trying to make the truck run, we decided to call a tow truck. The insurance would pay for it so that was good, however, since I had only a vague idea of what was wrong, i didn't want to chance towing it somewhere near by where we might would have to wait for an indefinite amount of time. So, i called a guy near my house to come out and get us. Since money wasn't too much of an issue, it seemed like a good idea.
So for the next few hours we sat on the edge of the forest that was beside where we had broken down. Luckily the sun was in a position behind the trees so that where we were sitting (not in the truck) was shaded. Even then, the temperature had to be hitting low 90's thankfully, we had a mostly steady breeze, and i had packed a case of watter in the back of the truck.
Eventually, the guy showed up, we got the truck to the shop, and my girlfriend's mom picked us up. After running through all our options (car rental, my cousin, my brother, etc.) nothing came through that would allow us to get to the beach, we were out of luck. However, on the plus side, her parents agreed to let me stay with them for the rest of the week. It was nice!
