Mosquitoes!

So, i wouke up this morning with seven huge mosquito bites on my legs...I'm pretty sure there is a mosquito flying around somewhere with a pint of blood in her!

Anyway, other than that, my day was fairly eventful. I went to my girlfriend's house this morning about lunch time but I had to take the truck rather than my gear-slipping car. Thankfully, the truck has ac and no cooling problems now. While there, I happened to come across a juvenile Black Rat snake. I decided that I would keep him since I have a particular affinity for Black Rats and the neighborhood has a lot of cats. Then I went with my girlfriend and her mom to the neurologist because her mom had to get an IV for her migraine. After an hour of waiting and a loopy ride back to the house, I got to hang around with my love for a bit before they had to go to a banquet for her sibling's swim team. I left there about six ish, and went to pick up another cage from Andrew for my new snake. I hung out there a while, left, came home, left, went to my aunts to meet mom so i could swap cars with her, talked with her and my aunt, left, drove an hour, picked up my brother, drove an hour, came home, got on my computer.

Yeah, some other small things happed in there but nothing worth mentioning. well, im about to fall asleep at the keyboard so....goodnight all!

The trouble with transmissions. . .

Today has been semi eventful.

I woke up, sat around and watched tv a bit, and then I had a thought. . . I decided to run a video camera via rope down an old, abandoned well. The result was a less-than-satisfactory video of poorly lit stone and dirt...but not enough to really see anything. I'm thinking about sending a modified rig down in a few days with a significantly brighter light.

After failing to video anything interesting, I headed of to my friends house to pick up a 75 Gal. aquarium that I have to take to my cousin for his 4.5 ft black rat snake. That's where the fun began. I was about a mile from my house when my transmission decided to all but completely go out. Luckily, i managed to limp it back to the house where Jeremy and I determined that the cause of my transmission woes was a leaky transmission line. Hopefully it will be simple enough to replace.

Now, I am about to watch The Crow for the first time.

So Goes Cars. . .

So, I think I'm about to the point of needing to buy a new car. First, my power steering went out. That's not too bad... having to force the steering at slow or stopped turns like in parking lots its about the only major downside. Then it started making odd noises and vibrating at higher speeds...wheel bearing and tire out of balance...again, i can deal with that, simply don't go over 70MPH. Next came the passenger window, it came off the track and after i fixed it, it wasn't a week till it came off again and then decided to jump the motor so now it won't lower. Then, just yesterday, the transmission decided to act up... third is being finicky. Not to mention the AC never worked.
Now, yeah..on one hand I'm glad i do have a car...but on the other hand, i think its about going to be less expensive to just get another car.
